Luciana Brito Galeria presents a solo exhibition “Geraldo Industrial,” by artist Geraldo de Barros that is currently on view and will run through December 1, 2016. Geraldo de Barros was a Brazilian painter and photographer. His work extends to engraving, the graphic arts and industrial design. He began his career dedicated to the figure and painting landscapes, but became known to establish links with the experimental art. He was one of the pioneers of abstract photography and modernism in Brazil is also considered one of the most important artists of the Brazilian concrete movement. “Geraldo Industrial,” is an overview of the artistic creation of Geraldo de Barros, displaying his works on several fronts. Ten new serigraphs will be launched, edited especially for the exhibition, which summarize the thought of the artist in the development of data games series. In addition to that exposed paintings, photographs and artist’s furniture are on display. The exhibition is designed by Fabiana de Barros and Lenora de Barros and has the support of the Unicamp Visual Arts Museum, the Inhotim Institute, Heloisa Espada and Thomaz Saavedra.
